James Gunn used his first post on Mastodon to move the bowl around Lobo. People saw him greet other people on the social media platform and the first question on everyone’s mind was: “Does this mean Le Bowen is working?” While we don’t know for sure, it’s nice to see one of the people in charge of DC Comics showing some love for some of our fan-favorite villains. Gunn knows that’s going to get some excitement, too. His surprise as president of DC Films was one of the biggest this year. Go ahead and speculate for yourself with the post below!
Could Project Lobo be on the way?
Lots of actors wanted to get the role of Lobo in live action. Despite the character’s popularity in animated series and films, there have been very few instances of The Main Man appearing in large DC Comics projects. All of that could change with Gunn at the helm. He is known to take some chances with the company’s larger catalog as evidenced by Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Superman fans can only dream of Lobo being the villain he has to face on the silver screen next. But, if there’s anyone in Hollywood who wants to play with him, it’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

“The only one I want to play is DC and Lobo,” Morgan said two years ago. “He’s a badass.” But he always wanted to get this movie done. “Lobo would be so cool. I don’t think I’m as big as Lobo, but if you could grow Mickey Rourke’s body on my head, that would be great,” he said, praising the character.
The last time Lobo appears on the screen
krypton All fans are shaking their heads with this compliment for the character. After all, they were the last to see him in a big neighborhood project as a focal point. Emmett J. Scanlan actually talked about how they tried to honor Lobo when speaking with Comicbook.com back in 2019!
“We have great respect for all the comics and the character’s legacy. If it ain’t broken don’t fix it.” Scanlan told ComicBook.com when asked about his time at Krypton. “Physically, I’m not the eldest son of a bitch over there, so it was really important that you captured these guys’ souls. Because that’s all that really matters….. you won’t get the biggest lobo in the universe but I promise you you get the craziest.”
